You’ll guide your team, provide pragmatic, commercially focused advice, and shape the way the Group manages its leased property portfolio. What you will be doing… Build & lead a high-performance team - In alignment with the broader Group Legal team, create a high-performing, inclusive property legal team through strong leadership, coaching and capability development. Set the strategy - Develop and deliver a best-practice property legal strategy that manages risk, supports growth and strengthens governance. Deliver operational excellence - Provide end-to-end legal leadership across the ANZ property portfolio, enabling commercial outcomes across leasing, developments and transactions. Be a trusted business partner - Partner closely with senior stakeholders to influence outcomes, solve complex matters and support ESG initiatives. About you… You’re a commercially minded property lawyer who enjoys working at pace and partnering closely with the business. You will bring: Seasoned Property Law Expertise - 10–15 years’ PQE in commercial property and retail leasing Top-Tier Legal Foundation - Strong experience in a top-tier or reputable mid-tier private practice (in-house experience highly regarded) ANZ Retail Property Specialist - Deep knowledge of commercial and retail leasing and property law across Australia and New Zealand Confident People Leader - Proven leadership capability with confidence, credibility and composure Sharp Commercial Thinker - Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills Thrives in Complexity - Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, complex environment Values-Driven Collaborator - A collaborative, high-integrity and solutions-focused mindset Trusted Stakeholder Partner - Outstanding influencing and engagement skills across Executive through to operational teams Qualifications: Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent) Current unrestricted Australian Practicing Certificate If you’re ready to take on a role where your expertise makes a real difference—where you can lead a high-performing team, influence key decisions, and leave a lasting impact across a major leased property portfolio—we want to hear from you.
